THE WOMAN FIRST
The Woman First is a movement towards helping women reconnect to themselves during pregnancy and after giving birth. The movement was created by Krista Kahmann after experiencing her own challenges and disconnect from herself after giving birth to her daughter Harper. Through Krista’s postpartum experience, she discovered that the one thing falling apart wasn’t anything else but her womanhood. With self-care and massage Krista found that she wanted to help other women prioritize themselves without guilt. Motherhood can be selfless, extremely demanding and yet, beautiful. By putting yourself first you are able to use self compassion, grace and self-care to refill your cup so that you can live to your highest potential as a mother, partner and most importantly a woman.
I realized it wasn’t the mother or the wife in me that was falling apart, it was the woman. So, I decided I needed to start putting the woman in me first!

INFANT MASSAGE COURSE FOR PARENTS
The Infants Massage course is a five week course, each course being a 90 minute class one day a week. I educate parents on infant cues, behavior states, communication and much more while teaching a full massage sequence as well as a gas and colic routine. My classes are taught in a group course and are all baby run. This allows the parent to do what is needed to care for their child while I work to empower the parents.
ABOUT KRISTA KAHMANN
Krista is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Infant Massage Instructor with a passion to provide a nurturing touch and support to women in a time in their lives that they need it most.
My passion for people and love of anatomy and massage started as a child. I am a nurturer by nature so finding a career in massage where I was able to combine the two was an obvious choice. I graduated from The National Holistic Institute in San Jose, CA where I specialized in sports massage and deep tissue. After becoming a mother and going through my own postpartum, I decide to further my training to become certified in pre and post natal massage as well as become a Certified Infant Massage Instructor through International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM). Motherhood has taught me the importance of self love and self care and has lead me to focus on empowering women to do the same for themselves throughout all phases of their journey in motherhood.
